Cystic Acne - Acne Home Remedies

Most commonly seen in teenage boys and young men, cystic acne is considered one of the worst breakouts to attack the skin. Perhaps you’ve inherited your less than smooth skin from the family tree or your teenage years aren’t treating you right, but cystic acne can strike anyone.

Cystic Acne

Breakouts can cause damage and devastate healthy skin tissue, making home remedies for cystic acne a much-wanted solution for clear skin when over-the-counter or prescription medications prove too harsh.

Developing on the face and other regions of the body, cystic acne (or nodulocystic acne) is the most severe form of acne vulgaris [1]. Characterized by deep, inflamed breakouts, the blemishes that follow are often large and can measure up to a couple of centimetres. Cystic acne causes soft lumps (called cysts) to form under the surface of skin. Bringing about great pain, cysts are filled with fluid containing white blood cells, dead cells, and bacteria [2].

Causes and Symptoms

There is no magic formula that creates cystic acne – the same factors that are at the root of other forms of acne are to blame: overactive oil glands, excess dead skin cells in pores, and a high amount of acne-causing bacteria called Propionibacteria acnes.

Ignore the myths that state eating candy and drinking soda has brought on your case of cystic acne. You’ve done nothing to cause your problematic skin. Cystic acne is usually an issue in patients who have parents that have battled the same condition, as hereditary plays an important role. Other factors associated with cystic acne include:

• Stress and hormonal changes – adolescence, menstruation, and pregnancy • Excessive washing and scrubbing of the skin
• Squeezing and picking blemishes

Cystic Acne Home Remedies

From simple kitchen remedies to using fruit to rescue your skin, home remedies for cystic acne can help treat inflammation, soothe painful cysts, and prevent future breakouts. Below you will find a couple of suggestions for rebuilding healthy skin:

1) Baking Soda and Sea Salt:

Mix a small amount of baking soda with water and apply to affected areas no more than once or twice a week. Another remedy involving baking soda calls for the mixing of a small amount of baking soda and sea salt together with water to create a paste that treats inflamed cystic acne.

2) Apple Cider Vinegar:

Prevent future breakouts and stabilize the natural pH of your skin by applying apple cider vinegar as a toner.

3) Do Not Squeeze:

Resist the temptation to squeeze an acne cyst, as you will only increase your chances of suffering a deeper infection and painful inflammation. Additionally, the scars left behind are oftentimes irreversible.

4) Honey and Aspirin:

Clear your complexion by using honey and aspirin for a combination remedy. Crush an aspirin and mix with water until a paste is formed. Apply to the face and rinse off. The aspirin acts as an effective exfoliate. Follow-up with an application of honey, that offers a moisturizing, antibacterial treatment.

5) Egg White:

Some people have reported results in treating their cystic acne by applying egg whites to the skin.

6) Aloe:

Rubbing aloe vera juice on cysts may help speed up the healing process.

7) Mango:

Orange or yellow-orange fruits and vegetables have a reputation for replenishing the skin. Create a mango paste for your face to soften skin, achieve a natural glow, and open clogged pores that can lead to or worsen cystic acne.

 Reduce Friction and Sweating:

Friction and excessive sweating can cause pores to become clogged and more susceptible to cystic acne. Reduce your chances by taking a break when bike helmets, backpacks, tight collars, or headbands are causing undue irritation to your skin.

9) Lemon Juice:

Mix lemon juice with water to treat the inflammation of cystic acne.

10) Say ‘No’ to Oil and Grease:

Using oily or greasy cosmetic products (even some sunscreens) can contribute to your cystic acne. Choose non comedogenic or non acnegenic cosmetic products to prevent a breakout.

11) Gentle Cleansing Habits:

Gently wash and cleanse affected areas a couple of times per day. Make sure to avoid drying out the skin and causing irritation.

12) Wash Off Make-Up:

Women, don’t forget to wash off all of your make-up before going to bed or you run the risk of clogging pores.

Acne Cyst

Acne is a common skin problem caused when the excess oil secretion form the sebaceous glands fail to escape through the pores of the skin and accumulate resulting in you looking for an acne cyst treatment.

Also hormonal imbalances and stress related factors may also be considered responsible for resulting in the formation of acne. While in its milder form, acne or pimples are capable of causing inflammations or swellings on the skin, sometimes they can split and spread over greater areas and swell considerably to form an acne cyst or nodulocystic acne.

Acne cysts are considered to be extremely painful and one of the most severe forms of acne and they occur commonly in males and affect different parts of the body like the back and chest regions apart from the face.

There may be various symptoms of acne cysts which may distinguish it from the common acne formations on the skin. These include ejection of pus and red swellings and inflammations on the skin. Scars are a very notable feature of these acne cysts and they commonly accompany the acne cysts along with reddened swollen nodules.

While it has already been pointed out that acne cysts are extremely painful, a very rare version of the acne cyst is referred to as acne conglobata. These are extremely severe and form painful and discomforting boils on the apart from resulting in scars as well.

Acne Cyst Treatment

These lesions appear often in the form of a group of ‘macrocomedones’ and form cysts filled with infectious pus. It is natural to state that since acne cysts are severe in nature, it is quite difficult to provide easy remedies as treatment. However, with the advancement of technology, different forms of treatment are available in order to cure oneself from acne cysts.

With the growing popularity of cosmetic surgery it is possible to treat acne cysts easily with the help of laser acne treatments. Isotretinoin is a substance derived from retinoic acid or Vitamin A and it is most effective in treating acne cysts.

It is advisable that this retinoid be used as soon as the inflammation is diagnosed as an acne cyst so that the medication is able to prevent the formation of scars. Usually this treatment needs to be continued for about 4 to 5 months for best results.

Moreover, it has been researched that isoretinoin is extremely beneficial in acne cyst treatment as it reduces the sebum production form the sebaceous glands and thus prevents inflammation. It is also beneficial in preventing the growth of acne bacteria.

TREATMENT FOR ACNE

ACNE SURGERY:

This procedure greatly speeds acne clearing and appearance by manually removing blackheads and whiteheads. A round loop extractor is used to apply uniform smooth pressure to dislodge the material. Lesions that offer resistance are loosened by inserting a pointed instrument to carefully expose the contents.

Acne Treatment

INTRALESIONAL CORTICOSTEROID THERAPY:

If one or several painful acne cysts develop, fast relief is available with this relatively painless procedure. Each cyst is given a single injection of a dilute cortisone solution, using an ultrathin needle.

LASER AND LIGHT THERAPY:

Laser- and light-based therapies reach the deeper layers of skin without harming the skin’s surface. Laser treatment is thought to damage the oil (sebaceous) glands, causing them to produce less oil. Light therapy targets the bacterium that causes acne inflammation. These therapies can also improve skin texture and lessen the appearance of scars, so they may be good treatment choices for people with both active acne and acne scars.

Dermatologists will use very aggressive treatments to try to prevent the progression of severe acne. They will try to stop it in its tracks while at the same time, work to prevent permanent scarring. Oral antibiotics and medications such as accutane, may be used at this stage as well as drainage techniques and surgical incision, also known as Acne Surgery. Other acne treatments such as injections of corticosteroids can be used. This is primarily used to melt cysts over a period of a few days. The acne therapy chosen by your determatologist will be matched to the severity of the condition effecting your skin.

ACNE LASER TREATMENT FOR SCARS:

Acne laser treatment has also been tried recently in a related form of skin disease called Acne Inversa, caused by sweat gland inflammation. This chronic condition is characterised by inflamed abscesses in the groin and armpits, and rarely on the scalp. The usual acne treatment of oral antibiotics often helps to control the condition, but the scarring left by the abscesses can be severe enough to limit movement, and is not always helped by cortisone injections. Acne laser treatment may offer a less invasive treatment than full surgery, and together with other acne medications such as Isotretinion, acne scars may be a thing of the past for these patients.

ACNE TREATMENT GUIDE:

Chemical Peels and Dermabrasion This involves the application of an exfoliate, such as glycolic acid, to the areas affected by acne. Sometimes, microdermabrasion is used as an alternative. The result is the peeling off of the top skin layers that opens comedones, and since the pores are no longer clogged, acne is eliminated.

Types Of Acne cysts

Acne cysts have become a common skin problem these days. However, most people are unaware of the term ‘cystic acne’. Acne cysts are a serious skin problem that occurs and needs a good acne cysts cure.

Cystic acne can be defined as the most severe kind of acne. Under these types of acne cysts, the pimples form into cysts. These are actually filled with pus that can result in scarring of the skin. These will get more painful when the acne cysts are squeezed to express the pus. This can result in permanent scaring.

There are several effective methods available these days to treat acne cysts. Don’t expect acne creams to work wonders when the skin is inflamed from acne cysts. Experts suggest medication or oral antibiotics are required to cure acne.

You should visit your doctor for you some effective drugs to treat the acne cysts. In some circumstances where the initial antibiotic treatment proves ineffective, your doctor will prescribe you a stronger medication course to treat the problems.

There are also some effective methods that can treat acne cysts permanently. Cystic acne is termed as one of the most severe forms of acne that deeply penetrated in to the skin layers. You should understand the causes that result in acne cysts.

You can characterize cystic acne by hard, semi-liquid bumps that grow below the skin with the potential of causing severe acne scars. Acne cysts are quite larger and painful as compared to whiteheads and conventional spots. This type of acne is a result of oil gland blockage that triggers inflammation and pus in the surrounding tissue area.

Cystic acne is further worsened by Retention keratosis, this condition causes the skin cells of the cystic acne to shed. This leads to clogging of the skin follicles with the dead cells in conjunction with the over production of sebum. This environment is perfect for growth of bacterial infections. The infection has potential of spreading to other follicles that can further aggravate the inflammation, swelling and redness of the acne cysts.

Experts believe that the natural approach works better for fixing your internal problems that result in acne cysts. The holistic approach utilizes multidimensional protocols such as supplementation, dietary changes, rebuilding of the organs of elimination and internal as well as external cleansing. The whole process neutralizes an environment that encourages formation of acne cysts work better to treat cystic acne in the long run. This treatment also prevents further acne cysts scars.

Cystic Acne Treatment

Cystic Acne unfortunately strikes all on us at some time in our life time and knowing the correct cystic acne treatment is beneficial. Some may suffer with more severe conditions than others. It is important to remember this fact to stop you feeling self conscious and embarrassed, it is just a fact of life.

Yes, we all know how it feels to have nasty painful red lumps scattered all over our face so stop worrying. Thankfully there are many cystic acne treatments you can use to get rid of them for good. It is just about finding the best Cystic Acne Treatment.

First let me explain exactly what cystic acne is. The swollen red pustules that form on your skins surface are a result of an infection and common skin condition known as Acne. The most painful, red and sever forms of this skin condition is referred to as cystic acne and this is the cystic acne treatment that we will be looking at.

Cystic Acne Treatment

Cystic spots, that commonly cause nasty Chin Acne, are lumps that can appear anywhere on the body and are notoriously difficult to cure and that can cause acne scaring. These cystic lumps often fill up with pus that is visible on the external surface of the skin.

This stage of the pustule is also known as a whitehead. This can be very tempting to squeeze in order to get rid of the head but this is a cystic acne treatment to avoid. I completely understand why we all have the urge to give your spot a good old squeeze but this will damage your skin that can lead to high risk of scarring. Acne scars often look like a purple or red permanent dot on your skin. In severe cases they may leave a pit in your skin.

So as you can see it is important to avoid that instinctive urge to squeeze. Also another reason not to squeeze is that whilst in your attempt to get rid of your cystic acne, you may actually make the skin infection much worse due to spreading the pus.

Unfortunately cystic acne on chin can not be cured overnight. But if you are keen to find out the correct acne cure, there is an excellent cystic acne treatment at http://www.acnecysts.net/anm. That will cure these stubborn painful spots and help minimise and completely eradicate the unsightly appearance of acne scaring.

The cystic acne infection can be due to numerous factors and there in often no clear answer why you may be suffering with this condition. For some it may be due to erratic hormonal changes in the body, their cleanliness or their lifestyle they lead with all the stress. For some, cystic acne is even caused by their diet. Surprisingly many people develop severe skin conditions such as pustule acne due to dairy products. Their bodies are intolerant to products such as mild, cheese and chocolate and unfortunately they do not even realise it.

Many dermatologists and acne specialists believe that this type of skin infection can actually be hereditary. In other words, we have inherited it from parents and it is written in our genetics.

This type of acne may strike us at any age. Often beginning in out adolescents and continuing in to our early adult years. It has been observed that the majority of acne infected individuals are teenagers. In this age group it is easy to assume the spots are due to erratic hormonal changes which unfortunately come with the territory of growing up. If you are currently a teenager and you can not escape the hormonal changes, do not worry. There is an excellent cystic acne treatment that will cure those nasty painful pustules for good, despite the chugs gong on inside.

Acne after the age of 30 is labelled as Adult acne. Adult acne is often seen in pregnant women, again due to the unfortunate erratic hormonal changes they have to endure. But as with the teenage acne, this too can be stabilised and cured with an effective cystic acne treatment.

So there you have it, a brief overview of what cystic acne actually is with a great cystic acne treatment. I hope you have found it useful and remember; absolutely everyone suffers with bad skin at some time in their life time.

There are several ways to treat back acne as well as prevent it from appearing.

1 – Wash your body with acne body wash instead of regular soap. Acne body wash can help to remove bacteria dirt that is accumulated on the back. A good acne body wash can also help to prevent acne from coming back.

2 – Pat your back dry after shower. It is advised not to aggravate the affected area with rubbing.

3 – It is best to wear cotton clothes whenever you can. Also you can try to put on some powder on your back to keep the area dry.

4 – Wipe off any perspiration on your body as soon as you can. This is especially so after exercise.

5 – Apply Benzoyl Peroxide or AHA on your back. There are topical solutions that can be used for treating back acne. You can also try acne body wash that contains these ingredients.

6 – Exfoliate your back with sea salts or a mild scrub. You can do this a few times a week to keep the skin free from accumulation of dirt and dead skin cells. However, do not exfoliate your back if you are having cystic acne.

If you have very severe back acne, you may consider getting treatment from a dermatologist. However, before you do that, it is best to try out natural treatments and acne treatment products first as they are more cost effective and safer.

Acne vulgaris may be present in the first few weeks. The most common trigger is puberty, when surges in androgen stimulate sebum production and hyperproliferation of keratinocytes. Symptoms of acne include whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. These can occur on the face, neck, shoulders, back, or chest. Pimples that are large and deep are called cystic lesions. Cystic acne can be painful; other types cause no physical symptoms but can be a source of significant emotional distress. Lesion types frequently coexist at different stages. Acne vulgaris may also be influenced by genetic factors. Medications that can promote acne include steroids, lithium, some antiepileptics, and iodides.

Isotretinoin is a systemic retinoid that is highly effective in the treatment of severe, recalcitrant acne vulgaris. The common combined oestrogen/progestogen methods of hormonal contraception have some effect, but the anti-testosterone, Cyproterone, in combination with an oestrogen is particularly effective at reducing androgenic hormone levels. Laser surgery has been in use for some time to reduce the scars left behind by acne. Chemabrasion, which uses chemicals to peel away top layers of skin. Certain low-dose birth control pills may help control acne in women who tend to have flare-ups before menstruation.

There have been many moves to treat acne, a distressing dermatological condition. What’s hard about acne is that not one single solution can treat all types of acne. However, if there are different solutions to choose from, all acne problems of varying types now have an answer.

Clinique Acne solutions have done just that. Their skin care products have evolved greatly, making sure to answer every skin woe. One of the concerns that many people bring up about acne is how to cover it up. Most commercial brands offer concealers and foundations that cover up the unsightly marks, but leave your pores clogged. These types of cosmetics are called comedogenic and are more often than not oil-based. Oil-based cosmetics and acne does not work well together.

Fortunately, Clinique Acne solutions have formulated innovative acne products such as the concealing cream that covers your pimples and helps eradicate them in the process. These types of concealer and foundation have been specially formulated for acne prone skin. Other than cosmetics, Clinique Acne solutions have come up with a wide variety of products to help control acne. One of these products is the healing gel. The healing gel works as an anti-inflammatory agent. It is cool and specially formulated to help constrict the blood vessels causing the pimple to redden and swell.

There is also a great product that Clinique has introduced to its consumers. The Clinique Acne Solutions Clear Skin System offers its consumers a head way to a clearer skin. Acne affected skin need not worry of its condition with this product. What’s great about it is that it comes in a starter kit convenient to the buyers. This starter kit is good for 4 weeks use. With the starter kit, you can test for yourself if you have any untoward reactions to the product or if the product does not work for you. But this hardly happens as Clinique Acne treatments are designed to be hypoallergenic and work effectively on clearing acne infested skin.

The starter kit contains three perfect solutions to answer your acne concerns. The first solution is a cleansing foam. This first step helps your skin and pores to be washed of all the dirt and oil it has accumulated over the day. The second solution is an exfoliant that comes in a lotion form. Exfoliation is an essential step to help clear dead skin and allow new skin to breathe. The last solution is a moisturizer, necessary to keep your skin’s essential oils and to prevent from drying. Clinique Acne Products are available at reasonable prices and are oil-free. You don’t only get good clear skin; you also get to save as well with Clinique’s innovative acne products.
