Acne is not a deadly disease, but it can have a devastating effect on your self-esteem and ability to enjoy life so it is important to know how to prevent it and if you already have it how to care for your skin and how to cure the acne. A particularly severe form of acne is known as cystic acne and in this article I will look at the ways to prevent and treat this skin problem.
Cystic acne manifests when your body overproduces fatty acids known as sebum. When sebum blocks the sebaceous glands, located at the hair follicles, and when the follicles are infected by bacteria, then the characteristic symptoms of acne appear: pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, lesions and cysts. In Cystic acne, as the name suggests, stubborn cysts are formed.
One of the main causes of acne is the change in the body’s hormones. During adolescence this change happens naturally to everyone, and that is why acne is usually associated with adolescence. Under the influence of the hormones the body produces the sebum that blocks the skin pores and causes acne. However, hormonal changes are also associated with the use of some contraceptive products and even with stress, so acne troubles some adults as well.
If you are prone to acne then here are some tips that can help you out.
The first rule is to never “pop” a pimple. Picking and squeezing the spots only makes the condition worse.
Keep your skin clean, drink plenty of water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables and get plenty of exercise. These are basic health habits and they will help you if you have skin problems. If you are “stressed out” then take long walks, practice yoga and allow yourself to relax and “chill out”.
If you are taking contraceptives then check with your physician. Some contraceptive pills aggravate acne. If you are taking medicines such as steroids or steroid creams, then once again you should consult with your physicians to see whether they are making the situation worse.
You may also want to use some acne treatment products to tackle the disease. Benozoyl Peroxide is often used in acne treatment as it helps to open up pores and to clear away dead skin cells. Low concentrations of Benozolyl Peroxide used over a period of a few weeks may help you to clear up white heads and blackheads, but not the cysts of cystic acne.
In treating cystic acne you can use Isotretinoin (sold under the names Roacutane and Accuntane). This preparation works by shutting down the production of the sebum which causes the problem. However, there are some severe side effects if this medication is used during pregnancy or if taken by someone suffering from gastrointestinal, blood or liver disorders.
To avoid these possible side effects it is safer to use a more natural treatment. Vitamin B5 or d-Calcium Pantothenate is a natural chemical that reduces sebum production and is effective in the treatment of cystic acne.
Another popular acne treatment product is sold under the brand name Acnezine. It is a combination of herbal extracts and antioxidants. It does not directly attack the bacteria associated with acne, but Acnezine works on the cause of the problem. This preparation neutralizes toxins and poisons and helps the liver to function better and deal with the hormones that create the over-secretion of sebum.
If you are troubled by acne and by cystic acne, then you should be proactive and do whatever you can to cure the problem. Follow the rules of all-around good health, with regard to diet, exercise, stress reduction and sleep and if necessary use some of the newer forms of acne treatment preparations that are now available.

Cystic acne or nodulocystic acne is a severe form of acne vulgaris (common acne).  Cystic acne is not caused by drinking excessive sodas, eating sweets or lack of cleansing. Those suffering from this form of acne have done nothing to acquire it.

Many people use the term ‘cystic’ to describe any and all types of severely inflamed acne, but only those who develop cysts will undoubtedly have cystic acne. These cysts sit just below the skin’s surface and are soft, fluid filled lumps that are extremely painful and one reason why so many want to get rid of cystic acne.

Cystic acne can affect anyone but seems to be found mostly in teenage boys and young men. Those whose parents had cystic acne as a young teenager will find that they will more likely have a similar experience. It can be hereditary.

Three reasons why you may find yourself experiencing cystic acne could be because you have:-

a) overactive oil glands

b) a large number of dead skin cells within the hair follicle or pore, and

c) your skin has a large surface of acne-causing bacteria, such as Propionibacteria acne, or p.acne

Because cystic acne can end up destroying healthy skin tissues, the likelihood of developing scars can be extremely high. If you are tempted to pick or pop any cysts or nodules, please refrain at all costs as this will certainly lead to scarring, and worsen the acne.Â

Those suffering from severe acne may have feelings of embarrassment, anger, shame and frustration regarding their skin. Having acne can have a huge impact on one’s self-esteem and can ultimately lead to depression. If you find that you are becoming distressed, then talk to your doctor.

Another way to help with the symptoms that acne creates is by using some form of acne home remedy. These are great as they are mostly natural products, just make sure you aren’t allergic to any type of fruit, vegetable or herb before applying to your skin.

Here are some popular acne home remedies that you can begin using today:

Rose water solution: rose water is a natural astringent and is fast becoming a great treatment for treating skin inflammation. By simply applying rose water as a cleanser, you will reduce your number of acne flare-ups.

Tea Tree Oil: This is now commonly used world wide for many different illnesses. Using a pure natural tea tree oil, that doesn’t have any other ingredients would be more beneficial to your skin. Apply in a diluted quantity of about 5% or 1 part to 20 in water. Tip: Tea tree oil can dry the skin, so include an oil free moisturizer.

Toothpaste: Not only good for brushing your teeth with, but now you can apply to individual pimples. By applying toothpaste to a pimple before bed can help reduce the redness and inflammation. Not to be used on severe acne or on large areas of skin.

Experiencing acne in the most common forms such as blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples is normal for people who are reaching puberty stage. However, the degree to which people experience such inevitable situation varies. A number of people suffer from mild to sever acne which harshly affects their way of living.

Cystic acne is one of the most severe situations people have to deal with. Because of such skin infection, people lose their confidence to face the world with such vitality. This type of acne is bigger than the normal ones, more painful, and can leave deep scars. Dermatologists suggest expert cystic acne treatment instead of pricking these painful zits at home to avoid worse skin conditions.

This acne can affect all people but it is mostly seen in males, particularly those in their puberty and early adulthood stages. Cystic acne produces deep scars as well as red, inflamed blemishes. Unfortunately, big scars are also visible on the face so it’s difficult to cover it up with any powder, cosmetic, or face cream.

The causes of getting such acne come from the same factors people encounter normal acne – the degree of acquiring the cause makes the big difference. For instance, one of the causes of cystic acne is the over activity of oil glands which produce more oil that blocks the pores. Because of this, it is not recommended that people who have such acne use face creams because these moisturize or grease the skin even more.

Treating cystic acne professionally is the best way to deal with this skin condition. Consult a skin specialist to immediately cure this skin infection and bring back the once lost confidence.

If you have cystic acne and want to get rid of cystic acne fast, you will learn some great tips here. Cystic acne is painful, both emotionally and physically. And worst of all, it can scar you for life.

What I am about to reveal to you are 5 simple steps to treating cystic acne fast. It’s so effective that you can apply it and see clearer skin in just a few days.

None of what I’m about to reveal to you is brain surgery. You can easily learn it within 2 minutes and start applying today.

Here are the 5 steps to treating cystic acne:

Step 1 – Stop eating the types of food that could be causing your cystic acne. The three types of food I recommend you stop eating are sugary foods (such as colas, cake, etc.), dairy foods (such as milk, cheese, etc.), and foods containing trans fat (you’re going to have to check the label on that one). Research shows that these three are the common foods that most people with cystic acne are allergic to. So the next time, you go out and buy food make sure you do not buy these types of food.

Step 2 – Stop stressing out – Stressing out can either cause acne or make them worse. However, you can easily relieve stress by doing some yoga, meditations, or deep breathing exercises. These three have been proven to relieve or completely eliminate stress. So pick one of them and do them daily for about 10 to 30 minutes a day.

Step 3 – Keep your skin clean – I highly recommend you gently wash your face with mild soap at least once a day. Especially at night right before you go to sleep.

Step 4 – Start eating more fruits and vegetables – fruits and vegetables are cleansing foods that will cleanse and get rid of toxins in your system (thus, preventing acne). So try eating more fruits and vegetables every day. I’m sure you’ll see results just like I did.

Step 5 – Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of purified water a day. Water is extremely important in the detoxifying process. It acts as a catalyst to move acids out of the body. As a matter of fact, water is quite possibly the single most important contributor to healing and preventing acne flare-ups.

Those are the five steps I follow everyday, but after a few days, you may notice that your cystic acne are smaller and not as red as it was before. And the smaller cystic acne may have completely disappear.

Another thing: I highly recommend you follow the above 5 steps everyday. Or at least until your cystic acne disappear.

Now you too can discover the same secrets thousands are now using to eliminate their acne in 2 to 7 days and stop it from ever coming back.
